How much will 60 seconds cost me?

Work is boring, this is a statement of fact.  There is no one to talk to or have any fun with so I turn to the  internet on my cell phone during my breaks.  Last month my bill was a little bit high so I wanted to call verizon to determine how much using the internet was costing me.

Here is how my conversation with verizon wireless guy, Jeff, went...

Me: Hi, I'm calling because I want to know how much it is costing me to use the internet on my phone.

Jeff: They charge by minutes.

Me:  Ok well how much does a minute cost?

Jeff: I don't think you understand, they go by minutes.

Me: Um... well how much am I being charged for those minutes?

Jeff:  When you use the internet they charge minutes.

Me: HOW MUCH IS A MINUTE???

Jeff: A minute is 60 seconds.

(at this point I was dumbstruck)

Me: I know HOW LONG a minute is.

Jeff:  Let me explain this again, try to keep up.  They charge you out of the minutes on your calling plan instead of a by data usage.  Do you think you understand now?

Me:  Great, thank you. Click.

Seriously?

People kill me. Don't you just wish you could reach through the phone sometimes? Thanks for making me laugh, although I'm sorry you had to deal with it.
